Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Akkrev is operated by Akkrev Technologies OÜ, a private limited company registered in the Estonian Business Register under registry code 17519031, Ahtri tn 12, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia ("Akkrev", "we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question, email hello@akkrev.com.

2. What we collect

• Account and sign-up details: your name, work email, and your venue's name, type and website.
• Service data: the venue information, questions, reports, drafts and settings you add or that we create for your account.
• Connected accounts: if you choose to connect your website or Google Search Console, the access you grant and the data needed to provide that feature. You can disconnect at any time.
• Billing details: your name, billing email and payment status. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see your full card number.
• Forms and messages: what you send us through our forms, by email or when you book a call, such as your name, email, phone number (if given) and message.
• Technical data: IP address, browser or agent type and basic request logs, used to run and secure the site.

3. Why we use it

• To provide the services you sign up for, manage your account and take payment (performance of a contract).
• To reply to enquiries and run checks you request (steps taken at your request before a contract).
• To look into websites reported to us as hard for AI agents to use, and to contact the businesses that run them (legitimate interests).
• To keep the site and service secure, prevent misuse and improve our service (legitimate interests).
• To send occasional service-related or business emails. You can opt out at any time (legitimate interests).
• To meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations (legal obligation).
• To use optional analytics cookies and signup attribution (your consent, which you can withdraw using Cookie settings).

We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.

4. Google user data

If you connect Google Search Console, we only read your list of Search Console properties and the search performance data for the property that matches your venue's website, and only to show it in your Akkrev account. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run Akkrev and act on our instructions, in these categories: website hosting and security, Google Analytics when you consent, email, payments, call scheduling, AI model providers used to generate reports and drafts, and the website or Google services you choose to connect. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

If you connect ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant to Akkrev, it can request account data and prepare work within the permissions you approve. We receive the tool inputs it sends, not unrelated conversations. Tool results may include your venue facts, drafts, reports and connected Google reporting, and are shared with that assistant at your request. Your assistant provider’s own privacy terms apply to data it receives. You can revoke its access in Settings → Security.

6. International transfers

Some providers process data outside the EEA or UK. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses (with the UK addendum where needed).

7. Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies keep you signed in and secure the service. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page views and page speed without cookies. If you select Accept, we also use Google Analytics 4 on our public website to measure visits, traffic sources and completed signup forms. Google receives page visits, technical browser/device information and an analytics identifier. We do not send names, email addresses, venue details, login tokens or form contents to Google Analytics. Page addresses sent to Google exclude query strings and fragments; referrers contain only the referring origin.

When you choose GBP or USD, we remember that choice in the first-party akkrev-currency cookie for up to one year. It contains only the chosen currency. On a first visit, Cloudflare’s country code helps us select a default. Changing the website currency does not change an existing subscription.

Optional Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) last up to 180 days. We load Google Analytics only after acceptance. Reject keeps optional analytics off. We do not use advertising cookies; Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled. With your consent, we also keep basic signup attribution (landing page, referring website and campaign labels) in first-party session storage and with your submitted signup.

We remember your Accept or Reject choice in local storage for 180 days. Use in this policy or the website footer to change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent removes our analytics cookies and session attribution and stops future Google Analytics collection. Attribution already submitted with an enquiry remains subject to the enquiry retention period below.

8. How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is active and enquiry data for up to 24 months after our last contact. We keep accounting records for as long as Estonian law requires (currently 7 years). We then delete or anonymise the data.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and for stored access credentials.

10. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email hello@akkrev.com and we will reply within one month.

You can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee), the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to help first.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
